Divan beds provide a complete bed with many sizes and storage options. Deep bases provide space for practical storage, and most divan beds offer a choice of 2 or 4 drawers. Popular sizes include 3’ Single Bed, 4’ Small Double Bed, 4’6 Double Bed, 5’ King Size Bed right up to 6’ Super King Size Bed. Mattresses are included in the set with 8” (20cm), 10” (25cm) and 12” (30cm) thickness. Many mattresses now feature memory foam - a remarkable material which was originally developed by NASA, and is now widely used in hospitals to prevent bed sores. If you haven’t tried it you will be amazed at the comfort it provides. Traditional orthopaedic mattresses are still popular however for those who prefer a firmer sleeping surface. As the bed is mostly hidden from view when made up, a headboard is a great way to add a style element to suit your décor.
